Caboose's OS Virtual Check-In with Rudy Garbely & Carolyn Hoffman

GPCo staff members Rudy Garbely and Carolyn Hoffman will participate in a virtual event jointly sponsored by Caboose (the renowned hobby shop in Lakewood, Colorado) and the Colorado Model Railroad Museum. In this Zoom meeting, Kevin Ruble (the owner of Caboose) will interview Garbely and Hoffman about their various involvement across the spectrum of the railroad hobby, including publishing, HO scale modeling, railroadiana collecting, air horns, speeders, preservation, and even dining car recipes! The meeting is free for all to attend - click the button below at 8:30 PM (EST) to join.

Rudy Garbely is the author of seven railroad books and the editor for over 25 additional titles. He founded The Garbely Publishing Company in 2012, the same year he graduated from Moravian College's history program with honors for his thesis on the Lehigh Valley Railroad. He also studied historical methods and preservation at both the National Museum of Industrial History and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Rudy is an experienced HO scale modeler, an avid collector of railroadiana (particularly Conrail and its predecessors), and an active preservationist. He is currently the president of The Conrail Historical Society and a director for Operation Toy Train.

Carolyn Hoffman is a railroadiana collector with a particular affinity for air horns, speeders, and the Atlantic Coast Line. She works actively in historic preservation with a number of organizations, and is currently the secretary of The Conrail Historical Society and a director for both Operation Toy Train and the Port Jervis Transportation Museum.
